Visiting artist Wafaa Bilal gives a free public lecture at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union—Center for Campus life on Thursday, April 7, 6:30–8 pm, and a graduate colloquium on art + politics at the Michelle Smith Collaboratory for Visual Culture on Friday, April 8, noon–1:30 pm (registration required). CAPP acquired Bilal's Perseus Behading Medusa (2015)Pink David (2015), and The Ashes Series: Dark Palace (2003–2013) in 2015.

Linn Meyers begins work on Our View from Here, a site-specific drawing occupying the entire second floor inner-circle gallery of the Hirshhorn Museum, on February 29, 2016. The work is on view May 12, 2016–May 14, 2017, with an artist talk on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 6:30 pm. Read more about the project in Washington City Paper. CAPP acquired Meyers's Untitled (2009) in 2009. 

Maggie Michael had her first solo exhibition in a museum this spring with “A Phrase Hung in Midair as If Frozen” at the Katzen Arts Center, prompting Art and Architecture Critic Philip Kennicott's thought piece "Can an art critic fairly review an artist friend's work?" in the Washington Post.
